Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET)
CIET recruitment 2021 notification: The Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET) has invited applications for the recruitment of various posts related to the Digital Infrastructure for School Education(Diksha) project.
There are 30 vacancies in total which will be on a contract basis up to March 2022, but extendable.
CIET is looking for experienced candidates with a Post Graduate degree in Technology-related disciplines with a minimum of 55%marks and a maximum age of 45 years in most cases.
The selected candidates will be posted in CIET headquarters in New Delhi.
The Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India and a constituent of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).
CIET was established in 1984 with the objective of promoting new-age technologies in mass media at the school level.
The institute is engaged various activities in areas including design, development and dissemination of alternative learning systems, promotion of Educational Technology, and training of personnel in Educational Technology
This apart, CIET also oversees the coordination of activities of its subsidiaries like the State Institutes of Education Technology (SIET) and consultancy and media support to other constituents of NCERT.

Minimum qualification
1. Technical Team Lead
- M.Tech./MCA/MSc.(IT/CS) with minimum 55% marks- and 05 years relevant experience OR
- BE/BCA/B.Tech. in Computer Science/Computer Applications/IT) with minimum 55% marks and 06 years relevant experience
Experience:
- In conceptualization, design, development, testing and deployment of large scale IT projects on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure etc
2. Mobile App -Lead Developer
- M.Tech./MCA/MSc.(IT/CS) with minimum 55% marks- and 05 years relevant experience OR
- BE/BCA/B.Tech. in Computer Science/Computer Applications/IT) with minimum 55% marks and 06 years relevant experience
Experience:
- Across all phases of app development
- JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, NodeJS, ReactJS and/or AngularJS.
- Writing code using Kotlin, Java, or Swift.
- Sound knowledge of Android SDK and iOS SDK.
- Memory management, network interaction, concurrency and multi-threading.
- Firebase and detailed analytics
- Have published at least 2 mobile apps in each of the Android and Apple stores, and are active
3. Database Administrator
- M.Tech./MCA/MSc.(IT/CS) with minimum 55% marks- and 05 years relevant experience OR
- BE/BCA/B.Tech. in Computer Science/Computer Applications/IT) with minimum 55% marks and 06 years relevant experience
Experience:
- Excellent knowledge of Relational and non-relational databases
- Design, creation and implementation of new database environments
- Good Understanding & Knowledge of cloud DBA
- Command over at least one of the following languages -Python / PHP / Java /.NET.
4. Sr. Academic Consultant
- Masters’ Degree in English/ Hindi/ Mathematics / Social Science/ Psychology/Sciences/ Education with minimum 55% marks
Experience:
- At least 5 years working as an academic expert in ET/ICT/e-contents development including for CWSN projects at national/state level in the education sector
5. Consultant in Animation and Graphics
- Master’s degree in Multimedia Graphics/Animation/Mass Communication/Fine Arts/Visual Arts with minimum 55% marks
Experience:
- At least 5 years working as an academic expert in ET/ICT/e-contents development including for CWSN projects at national/state level in the education sector
6. Content Developer -Technical
- M.Tech./MCA/MSc.(IT/CS) with minimum 55% marks and 01 year experience OR
- BE/BCA/B.Tech. in Computer Science/Computer Applications/IT with minimum 55% marks and 02 years experience
Experience:
- Development of EPUB from InDesign source files
- Development of Flipbooks and other interactive ebooks
- PDF watermarking, metadata preparation and tagging QR code generation and mapping with contents
- Uploading contents on portals, apps, social media platforms and other servers, maintaining playlist, and usage analytics.
7. Content Developer – Academic
- Post Graduate in English/ Science/Mathematics with 55% marks and at least 02 years eperience
Experience:
- Developing/Design instructional design/TV-Radio. Multimedia, scripts/story boards/
- Preparation of metadata and abstracts.
- Teaching at Secondary or Senior Secondary levels
- Developing e-resources following an instructional design
8. Bilingual Translator
English to Hindi & Viceversa
- Master’s Degree in Hindi with 55% marks
- English as a subject at Graduation Level
- Diploma/certificate in translation
- Proficiency in computer applications- word processing spreadsheet
Experience:
- 02 years of working as a translator in educational projects at national/state level in the education sector
English to Urdu & Viceversa
- Master’s Degree in Urdu with 55% marks
- English as a subject at Graduation Level
- Diploma/certificate in translation
- Proficiency in computer applications- word processing spreadsheet
Experience:
- 02 years of working as a translator in educational projects at national/state level in the education sector
9. Junior Project Fellow
- Master degree in Hindi, English)/Social Sciences /Science / Mathematics/Education with 55% marks
- Excellent command over English and Hindi for oral and written communication; maintaining database of the callers; good interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in working with computers – word processing, spreadsheet, presentation etc. Knowledge of Research
- Methodology – Development of research tools, collection and analysis of data, report writing etc.
Selection Process of CIET recruitment 2021
The selection process consists of an initial screening of the applications followed by a personal interview or any other mode to be determined later.
The selected candidates shall join immediately. The appointment will be for a temporary period up to March 2022, which can be extended based on the candidate’s performance and the project requirement.
