CSIR-IMTECH Recruitment 2021 Syllabus

CSIR-IMTECH Recruitment 2021 Syllabus: There are 21 vacancies for the posts of Technical Assistant and Junior Engineer (Group III), and Technician (Group-II)

The selection of the candidates will be through a written examination

CSIR-IMTECH Recruitment Selection Process

As mentioned, the selection process consists of a written examination and scrutiny of documents. The written examination features three papers; Paper-I, Paper-II, and paper-III, with minimum cutoff marks to qualify. You have to score minimum cutoff marks in all the papers for things to get going in your way.

CSIR-IMTECH Recruitment 2021 Syllabus

Passing Paper-I appears somewhat easy as you have to answer questions related to only one subject, i.e., Mental Ability.

But remember that the evaluation of Paper-II & Paper-III will take place only if you score the minimum qualifying marks for Paper-I. Other than that, the marks scored in Paper-I are not going to influence your final selection.

In fact, the selection committee will draw a merit list of successful candidates on the basis of the marks scored in Paper-II and Paper-III only. And the final selection will be made from this merit list.

Paper-II has two subjects viz., General Awareness and the English language, while Paper- III has just one subject, i.e., the subject related to the Post you have applied for.

For instance, if you’ve opted for Technical Assistant Post code-1, you will have Science related questions in Paper-II. Similarly, if your option is for the post of Electrician, the paper will cover questions related to Electrician trade (ITI Standard). And son…

To sum up, we can assume that for the written exam for Technical Assistants, these 03 papers together will cover the following subjects:

Subjects for Technical Assistants

  • Mental Ability
  • General Awareness
  • English Language
  • The Post-related subjects including:
  • Science (Degree level)
  • Bio-Chemical Engineering (Diploma)
  • Instrumentation Engineering (Diploma)
  • Electrical Engineering (Diploma)

Subjects for Technicians

The three papers for the post of Technicians cover following topics:

  • Mental Ability
  • General Awareness
  • English Language
  • The Post-related subjects including:
  • Refrigeration and AC
  • InformationTechnology & Electronic System Maintenance
  • Medical Laboratory Technician trade
