Indian Air Force Common Admission Test 2021: Indian Air Force has invited applications from unmarried male and female graduates for grant of Short Service Commissioned (SSC) and Permanent Commission (PC) through the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) to be conducted later this year.
According to the notification about the Indian Air Force Common Admission Test 2021 (AFCAT), there are 334 vacancies to be filled in the Air Force Flying Branch and the Ground Duty Branch (Technical & Non-Technical) for SSC and PC. This includes the number of candidates applying through the NCC Special Entry Scheme and the Meteorology Entry.
The date of the Online AFCAT will be notified in due course. The successful candidates in the Written Examination (AFCAT) and Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) Tests will have to join the AF Training Course in the First week of July 2022 at the Air Force Academy Dundigal, Hyderabad.

- Students in the Final year/ semester Degree course can also apply provided they don’t have any backlog and secured 60% or more marks in the previous semester. They need to submit the final year certificate by 15th June 2021
- In the Ground duty (Non-Tech) branch, 02 seats are reserved for candidates with graduation in Law to be employed on legal duties of the IAF (after selection & commissioning).

Candidates who are declared successful in the AFCAT will be called to one of the Air Force Selection Boards (AFSB) to participate in the next stage of the selection process.

The successful candidates for NCC Special Entry/Meteorology will have to appear at the AFSB center in Dehradun. Similarly, candidates who applied for the Flying branch can only attend at Dehradun, Mysore and Varanasi.
The selection process at the AFSB center will be conducted in following stages:
First of all, please note that there will be a series of tests in the selection process. To appear in such tests will be at your discretion and risk only. You have to sign an indemnity to this effect before taking part
The first stage of the selection process at the AFSB center is a screening test. This will consist of an Officer Intelligence Rating Test, Picture Perception, and Discussion test. Those who come successful in these tests will be called for document verification. Subsequently, there will be a Psychological test for these candidates.
The next stage features Group Tests and interviews. Normally, this will take place over a period of 05 days.
For Flying Branch: Candidates who are recommended for the Flying Branch will be subjected to a Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS).
A Final Merit List of candidates will be drawn, based on the marks scored in the written examination and the AFSB tests as fixed by the IAF. And the final selection will be made from this list. The recommended candidates will have to undergo medical tests by the appropriate medical establishments

Indian Air Force Common Admission Test 2021& Training in Hyderabad
The selected candidates must report at the Air Force Academy Dundigal, Hyderabad, for the training commencing in the first week of July 2022. The duration of the course will be 74 weeks for Flying and Ground Duty Technical Branches, and 52 weeks for Ground Duty Non-technical Branch.
Before joining the Academy please ensure that you have a PAN Card, Aadhaar card, and an account in SBI or any other Nationalized Bank. This is mandatory to attend the training at the Academy.
Physical Fitness
You are required to remain physically fit by following a regular schedule of diverse physical conditioning activities. This includes running, skipping, swimming, push-ups & sit ups rope climbing etc.

- Use the generated password to log in and change your password
- Click the instructions and follow the same
- Fill in the requisite information
- You can preview and edit the application
- Upload recent Photo, Signature & Thumb Impression
- Make the payment of the application fee
- Click “PAYMENT STATUS” to view whether payment is successful
- If the Registration Number is displayed, it implies that the payment is successful
- After completing, you can submit the application
