Indian Navy SSC Officer Recruitment 2022: Indian Navy has invited applications from unmarried eligible male and female candidates for the grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Force.

The Navy is conducting the following two courses from January 2023 onwards for this purpose at Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala.

  1. Extended Naval Orientation Course –
    • General Service (Executive) GS(X)/ Hydrography
  2. Naval Orientation Course (NOC) Regular –
    • Naval Armament Inspectorate Cadre/Air Traffic Controller/Observer/Pilot/ Logistics /Education/Technical (Engineering & Electrical)

The selection of candidates for these courses will be based on the marks they scored in the qualifying examination. And, it will also be subject to medical examination and interview.

There are a total of 155 seats available. The basic qualification for these courses is a BE/B.Tech in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks. And for certain positions, there are some variances.

7. Education

Selection process of Indian Navy SSC Officer Recruitment 2022

  • There will be shortlisting of candidates on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying degree.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for SSB interview through e-mail or SMS
  • AC 3 tier rail fare is admissible for the SSB interview, if appearing for the first time for particular type of commission

  • You will have to undergo medical examination as applicable to your entry
  • Selected candidates will be placed in the rank of Sub Lieutenant
  • Officers of Extended NOC (General Service/Executive & Hydro) will undergo 44 weeks training
  • Whereas, fficers of regular NOC (all branches) will undergo 22 weeks
  • The place of initial training will be at the Naval Academy Ezhimala, Kerala
  • Subsequently they will be given professional training at Naval Ships and training establishments as per regulations.

Probation Period

  • The probation period for SSC (NAIC) Officers is three years while for officers of other branches/cadres , it is two years.
  • The probation period will commence from the date of grant of the rank of Sub Lt
  • During probation the officers are liable to be discharged in case of unsatisfactory performance at any stage
