ISRO LPSC Recruitment 2021For Graduate Diploma Apprenticeship: The Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC) Trivandrum, a part of ISRO is providing training to 160 graduate engineers and Diploma Engineers for a period of one year under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS).

The Centre has invited applications for the same through a recent advertisement. You have to apply online before 20-07-2021.

The Engineering / Diploma streams include Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Electronic, Chemical, Instrumentation Engineering, besides library science. The candidates must be within the prescribed age group as per the NAPS

The selected candidates will be given basic training and On-the-Job Training at LPSC’s Valiyamala unit, near Trivandrum, Kerala.

The Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC) Trivandrum is a research entre under the Indian Spece Research Organization (ISRO), engaged in the development of liquid and cryogenic propulsion stages for launch vehicles and auxiliary propulsion systems for both launch vehicles and satellites

The centre is also responsible for the supply of engines, stages, associated control systems and components for launch vehicle and spacecraft.

Eligibility Details

Age Limit

The age limit will be followed as per Apprenticeship Rules

Minimum qualification

A. Category – I. Grduate Apprentice

  • First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of 65% marks

B. Category – II. Technician (Diploma) Apprentices

  • First Class Diploma in Engineering
  • Minimum of 60% marks

Note

  • Must have attended Full-time, Diploma course recognized by AICTE/UGC
  • Must have passed during 2019, 2020 and 2021
  • Those who received Trade Apprenticeship training earlier are not eligible to apply
  • You must register with www.mhrdnats.gov.in and obtain the enrollment number

Selection Process of ISRO LPSC Recruitment 2021

The selection will be based on merit only. A final rank list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates. And, the final selection will be according to the rank list only after verification of the documents at the LPSC Trivandrum

There will be No TA / DA or boarding or lodging expenses for attending certificate verification at the PLSC.

The selected apprentices will be governed by the ‘Apprentices Act, 1961, and the police/rules of the organization during the training period. The apprenticeship period will expire exactly in one year and ISRO or LPSC guarantees no employment to the apprentices thereafter.

ISRO LPSC Recruitment 2021 Salary

During the apprenticeship, the candidates will be paid a monthly stipend :

  • Graduate apprentices: Rs.9,000/-
  • Diploma apprentices: Rs.8,000/-

Go through the notification and make sure that you fulfill the eligibility. You must have a valid email ID and mobile number.

First of all, you have to register your name, address, qualifications, etc., at the BOAT’s Portal and get a Registration number

  • Go to the BOAT’s Portal, http://www.mhrdnats.gov.in/ (the last date 20-07-2021)
  • Click the tab, Enroll
  • Complete the Registration with your details
  • Note down the generated Enrollment Number for future reference/use
  • You can re-login (the last date 26-07-2021)
  • Click Establishment Request Menu
  • Click Find Establishment
  • Upload Resume
  • Choose Establishment name
  • Type “INDIAN SPACE RESEARCH ORGANISATION LIQUID PROPULSION SYSTEMS CENTRE” and search
  • Click apply
  • Click apply again

What is the work of ISRO Liquid Propelsuion Systems Centre?

Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC) is engaged in the design, development and realisation of liquid propulsion stages for ISRO’s Launch Vehicles. The center is reponsible for developing and providing fluid control valves, transducers, propellant management devices for vacuum conditions and other key components of liquid propulsion systems to the parent unit ISRO.

Is the Trivandrum Unit is the only center providing these items to ISRO

There is one more LPSC in Bangalore under the LPSC Trivandrum. It is engaged in the design and production of propulsion systems for remote sensing and communication satellites and other scientific missions. The Bangalore unit also delivers transducers and sensors used in spacecraft propulsion systems for health monitoring and determining the on-orbit functional life of the spacecraft.

Earlier there was another unit functioning under the Trivandrum LPSC at Mahendragiri in Tamilnadu, which has since been made an autonomous department under ISRO.
