About NITK Karnataka

The National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) Surathkal, Mangalore is one of 31 NITs in India. It was founded in 1960 as Karnataka Regional Engineering College (KREC), affiliated to the University of Mysore, offering three undergraduate courses in engineering: Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil.

On 26 June 2002, it was given the status of a National Institute of Technology. Today NITK offers undergraduate and graduate programs in Engineering, Science, and Management. The institute has 14 departments and 11 support centers with about 200 faculty members, 300 support staff, 5,500 students, and 26,500 alumni worldwide.

The campus occupying an area of 295.35-acres of land is located on National Highway 66 by the shores of the Arabian Sea at Suarathkal, Srinivasnagar, Mangalore.

Eligibility for NITK Non-Teaching Recruitment 2021

Age Limits (As of 24-09-2021)

Minimum Educational Qualification & Experience

I. Technical Assistant/Junior Engineer

First Class in BE/B.Tech/ MCA in relevant Subject- OR
First Class Diploma in Engineering in relevant field/trade- OR
First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Science – OR
Masters Degree in Science with at least 55% marks
Relevant subjects/fields/Trade: Computer Science, Chemistry, Mining. Materials & Metallurgy, Physics, Civil Engineering , MechanicalEngineering, Elecrical Engineering

2. SAS Assistant

First Class Bachelors Degree in Physical Science
Possess Strong record of particiapation in activities such as sports /drama/Music/painting/photography/journalism/event management during college days

3. Superitendent

First Class Bachelor’s Degree in any Discipline- OR
Masters Degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks
Knowledge of using computer applications especially Word Processing, Spreadsheets

Selection Process for NITK Non-Teaching Recruitment 2021

All eligible candidates will have to appear for a written test
You should come with the call letter and the documents (original and a set of copies) at the time of the written test
A merit list of qualified candidates will be prepared and the shorlisted candidtes will called for the skill test
The final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the written test as per the merit list, subject to the clearance in a medical examination and verification of character antecedents
