SBI Assistant Manager Exam Syllabus: State Bank of India (SBI), is hiring 60 Engineering graduates for the post of Assistant Manager to be posted in its various offices.

The last date to apply for the posts is 02-09-2021. The Bank plans to hold an online written Test tentatively on 25-09-2021. And it will upload the call letters on its website and advise the candidates through SMS and e-mails. You will be required to download the call letters from the website.

SBI Exam Pattern/Structure

The bank expects a high turnout for this recruitment. Hence the written test to restrict the number of applicants within a reasonable level. On the contrary, if the response is low, the bank will likely dispense with the written test and will go for shortlisting and interviews.

The Written Test will cover the topics of General Aptitude and Professional Knowledge (PK). The Test will be qualifying in nature. This means you have to score minimum cutoff marks to be eligible for the Interview. The bank will decide the cutoff marks and inform you.

Exam features:

The question paper will be objective type with multiple choices. There will be penalties for wrong answers (However, the notification does not specify the details). Normally, 0.25% marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. The question paper will be bilingual, in Hindi & English except for the English language. So, you will have the option to answer the questions in Hindi or English.

The bank will decide the qualifying marks later. Only qualified candidates will go to the next stage of the selection process.

However, the qualifying marks for the General Aptitude test will not be counted for deciding the merit/selection.

  • 04 papers– Reasoning Ability, English and General Awareness
  • Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
  • 170 questions; 220 marks

Conditions for being shortlisted:

  1. You have to score equal to or above the cut-off marks in the profession Knowledge Test
  2. You have to score equal to or above the Minimum qualifying marks in General Aptitude Test.
  3. The bank will decide the cutoff marks and Minimum qualifying marks for the respective tests

Final Selection

Interview

The bank will decide the number of candidates to be called for the interview based on performance in the online written test.

The interview will carry 25 marks. The qualifying marks in the Interview will be as decided by the Bank.

The final merit list will be arrived at after aggregating the marks of the Professional Knowledge test and interview. The weightage of the score will be 75% for Professional Knowledge Test and 25% for the Interview.
