UPSC Assistant Director Recruitment 2022: Total of 28 posts in various Government Departments- selection by Interviews Experienced Graduates may apply

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited applications for the appointment of 28 officers in various central government organizations on a direct recruitment basis.

The selection for the posts will be through a personal interview. There will be no written test.

The positions include Deputy Director of Mines Safety (Electrical), Assistant Director GradeII (Economic Investigation), Senior Lecturer (Ophthalmology), and Assistant Engineer (Civil) in various govt organizations

And the organizations include the Directorate General of Mines Safety, Ministry of Labour and Employment; Office of the Development Commissioner (MSME), Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises; Government Medical College & Hospital, Chandigarh, Department of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh Administration; and the Irrigation & Flood Control Department, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi.

There will be shortlisting of candidates based on the information provided in the application. Call letters for the interview will be issued only to shortlisted candidates. And the final selection will be based on your performance in the interview, and subject to the verification of documents and medical examination.

Educational Qualification experience

  • You must have the following essential qualifications/ experience to apply for the post
  • Educational qualifications must be from govt. recognized universities
  • Experience must be from govt organizations or private firms of repute

1 Deputy Director of Mines Safety (Electrical)

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering- OR
  • A pass in Section A and Section B of the Associate Membership Examination in Electrical Engineering branch from the Institution of Engineers (India).
  • Ten years of professional experience in the generation, transmission or distribution of Electricity or Maintenance of electrical equipment
  • Out of which at least two years experience in Electrical Engineering in direct relation to plant and equipment used in mining.

2. Assistant Director GradeII (Economic Investigation)

  • Master’s Degree in Economics
  • Two years of experience in conducting and guiding investigations or surveys and research relating to small-scale industries
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in handling economic data and knowledge of problems relating to small scale industries and/or other industries
  • And having Basic Knowledge of computer applications that are currently used software/packages for officers.

3. Senior Lecturer (Ophthalmology)

  • A basic University Medical degree or equivalent qualification + Plus
  • M.S.(Ophthalmology)/ M.D.( Ophthalmology) from a recognized University
  • Three years of teaching experience in the concerned Specialty after acquiring postgraduate qualification as Lecturer/ Registrar/ Senior Resident/ Demonstrator/ Tutor in a recognized Medical College/ Teaching Institution

4. Assistant Engineer (Civil)

  • Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Two years of professional experience

Note:

  • The qualification must be from a recognized University/ Institution or equivalent
  • Experience must be from a Government Office or Public Sector Undertaking Statutory or Autonomous organization or any recognized Institution

The selected candidates will be placed in the Payscale level as given below
